Given the concern about coronavirus (COVID-19), we're working in accordance with public health authorities to help provide guidance on safety. We have prepared the below recommendations to help guide you through safe practices for your kitchen/establishment if you are a chef on our platform.
If you are a User, we recommend you follow the safety guidelines depicted by RIVM.
Kindly note that we are taking the safety measures by ensuring our chefs and delivery partners are aware of the hygiene policies and they follow the Covid-19 measures as outlined by Public Health authorities.
kookxtra also visits to their home chef’s kitchen to ensure the hygiene policies are followed. kookxtra team regularly checks the health of home cooks and ensure their health and safety along with assurance of the food is cooked in a healthy and safety environment.

Tips to stay safe:-
- If you feel sick, please stay home.
- Wash your hands regularly .When a handwashing facility is not available, please use hand sanitizer.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes.
- Avoid high-touch surfaces (door handles, countertops) and sanitize after contact.
Health & Safety Tips:-
The following tips offer a number of best practices that can help protect you and others from the spread of COVID-19.
- The recommendations are based on guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO).
- Monitoring Staff Health – Chefs and their staffs should alert kookxtra team and stay home if they report a mild illness,experience respiratory symptoms, and/orhave a fever. Chefs are not supposed to cook food if they have Covid-19 symptoms and distribute the food on kookxtra platform. kookxtra team will verify after they show no symptoms before they allow chefs to cook and publish their food.
- Food Packaging - Seal food in tamper-evident packaging and have all to-go items packaged and ready for the delivery person before pickup.
- Frequent Handwashing – Chefs, their employees/helpers and delivery partners should frequently wash hands with liquid soap and water for at least 40 seconds.
- Social Distancing Spaces :- Please keep distance with delivery partners and customers while exchanging the orders.
- If possible, instruct people to wait outside until their order is ready.
